affection, love, attachment, devotion的用法区别

这三名词均含“爱、热爱”之意。它们的区别是：

一、affection的用法

affection 指对人的爱慕或深厚、温柔的感情，侧重感情的深沉。如：

I assured him of our affection. 我向他肯定地说我们是爱他的。

He thanked her with genuine affection. 他怀着真情感谢了她。

Cyril has very little affection for him. 西里尔对他没有什么感情。

He had a warm affection for his mother. 他对妈妈有一种温馨的感情。

Her warm affections are centred on her cousin. 她热切的感情都集中在她表哥身上。

二、love的用法

love 比affection的语气更强，有时表示一种难以控制的激情。如：

三、attachment的用法

He feels a strong attachment to his family. 他十分恋家。

He has a sentimental attachment to his birth-place. 他对自己的出生地有眷恋之情。

四、devotion的用法

devotion表示热心的，充满情爱的奉献；它暗指比love 更无私，通常更执着的感情。如：

The devotion of the aged couple is inspiring. 老人的挚爱是催人奋进的。

Her devotion to her mother was beyond words. 她对母亲的爱非言语所能形容。

Her affectionate devotion gave to her husband a haven of rest after his long wanderings. 在她的丈夫经过长期流浪之后，她的款款深情给他提供了一个避难之所。
