accompany用法详解

一、基本用法

为及物动词，主要用法有：

1. 陪伴，陪同：

She accompanied her friend to the concert. 她陪同朋友去听音乐会。

Children must be accompanied by an adult. 小孩须由成人陪同。

2. 伴随，和…一起发生：

He accompanied his speech with gestures. 他演讲时附带做着手势。

3. 为…伴奏：

She sang and I accompanied her on the piano. 她唱歌，我弹琴给她伴奏。

二、用法说明

1. 是及物动词，不要在其后误加介词with，如不能说：

Thunder accompanies with lightning.

但是，用于被动语态的accompany后可接介词with或by：

The lightning is accompanied with thunder. 电闪雷鸣。

He was accompanied by his secretary. 他有秘书随行。

2. 习惯上不接不定式的复合结构作宾语，如下句中的to go应去掉：

He accompanied her to go to the station.

3. 虽然一般的词典将其注为“陪伴”“陪同”，但它的英文释义为to go somewhere with someone, especially to look after them，所以要表示呆在某处陪伴某人就不宜用它，比较：

Sit here and keep me company for a while. 坐在这儿陪我一会儿。
