possible 与 probable 的区别
1. possible 表示“可能的”，probable 表示“很可能的”，后者比前者表示的可能性更大。如：
Success is possible, but hardly probable. 成功是可能的，但把握不是很大。
It’s possible but not probablethat I shall go tomorrow. 明天我可能去，但不能肯定。
2. 两者均可后接 that 从句，但 possible 可以后接不定式，而probable 之后一般不接不定式。如：
正：It is possible that they will win. 他们可能会赢。
正：It is possible that it will happen. 这很可能会发生。
正：It is possiblefor them to win. 他们可能会赢。
正：It is possible to happen. 这可能会发生。
误：It is probable for them to win.
误：It is probable to happen.
