1. 表示“在入口处”，通常用介词 at；表示“……的入口”，通常用介词 to, 有时也用介词 of。如：

一般说来，用介词 to 多用来指方向，即指“通向”，用介词 of多用来指位置。比较：

There is a front and a back entrance to the theatre. 这家剧院有一个前门和一个后门。

2. 表示准许进入某场所、某组织、某机构等，通常只用介词 to。如：

They were refused entrance to the club. 他们被拒于俱乐部门外。
