It的用法

(1)指代人以外的一切生物或事物。

例 A butterfly settled on my window . It is too beautiful.

一只蝴蝶落在我的窗户上。它太漂高了。

(2)有时也指婴儿、小孩或不知性别的人。

例 What will you call it if it' s a boy?

要是男孩的话,你想给他取个什么名字?

(3)指代事件、时间、地点、天气、距离、身体或生活状况等。

例 When we arrived in Guilin it was raining heavily.

我们到达桂林时,雨下得很大。

例 It ' s about 5 minutes ' walk from my school to the park.

从我的学校到公园大约5分钟的步行路程。

(4)指代前文说过的人或物。

例 Praise is like sunlight to the human spirit ; without it we cannot flower and grow.

表扬对人的精神就像阳光,没有它我们就不能开花生长。

为了平衡句子结构,it作形式主语,位于句首,而真正的主语是动词不定式（短语）动名词或从句。

(1)It作形式主语,真正的主语是后面的不定式

It be adj. (for sb.) to do sth.

adj.：easy,difficult,hard,necessary,(im)possible,(un)likely,right,wrong,important,legal,illegal,clear,obvious,certain,suitable,

proer,fit,useful,useless,dangerous等用于以上句型。

例It is very easy for these children to pass the final exam if they work hard.

对这些孩子们来说如果努力学习的话,通过考试是非常容易。

It be adj. ( of sb . ) to do sth

kind , nice , rude , cruel , considerate ,thoughtful,thoughtless , careful

careless ,silly ,(im ) polight, foolish ,stupid , clever , wise , crazy , selfish等用于以上句型。

例lt' s kind of you to help me carry the suitcase.

你真好帮我提行李箱。

(2)It作形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词-ing形式。

It is no use doing sth.做….没用。

It is no good doing sth.做….没好处。

It is fun doing sth.做…..有趣。

It is no need doing sth.做….没必要

例lt' s no use quarreling over it.争论这件事没有用处。

(3)It作形式主语,真正的的主语是后面的从句。

例 It ' s said that the novel has been translated into over 12 languages.

据说这本小说已被被译成了12种语言.

It构成的其他常见句型:

It is/has been 时间段 since从句 自从……已有多长时间了。

It was not/will not be long before…..不久就……

It’s one’s turn to do sth.轮到某人做某事

It’s up to sb. to do sth.由….决定;该由…..做某事。

It takes sb. some time to do sth.某人花时间做某事。

It is high/about time to do sth./that从句 是……的时候了

It is/was the first/second….time that…..第……..次做……

It作形式宾语,真正的主语是动词不定式、动名词或从句。

例 I feel it my duty to help the disabled , homeless and sick.

我觉着帮助残疾人、无家可者和生病的人是我的职责。

例 Since you find it useless arguing with him，why don’t you stop and leave?

既然你觉得跟他争吵没用，为什么不停下来离开呢？
