as引导方式状语从句时，意为按照、如图”，as if、as though、the way也可以引导方式状语从句。

2、so that... 以便；结果、以致

so that 表示以便......，为了......”，引导目的状语从句，从句中可有情态动词can、could、may、might等，

也可表示结果、因此”，引导结果状语从句，从句中一般没有情态动词，常用逗号与主句隔开。

例句

They worked around the clock so that they could meet the deadlines.

他们日夜工作为的是能赶上最后的期限。(目的状语)

例句

The teacher raised her voice，so that the students at the back of the classroom heard him.
