  考点what和how引导的感叹句可以作动词或介词的宾语。宾语从句由how引导时，句式为how adj./adv. 主语 谓语”。

  例句 Do not let any failure discourage you, for you can never tell how close you may be to victory.

  宾语从句语法知识扩展：

  1、从属连词that,if,whether引导的宾语从句

  ⑴that,if,whether引导宾语从句，在句中不作句子成分，that可以省略。if/whether表示是否”，不可省略。

  ◇Many people believe(that) robots will do most of our work.

  许多人相信机器人会做我们的大部分工作。

  ◇Nobody knows whether/if he likes this birthday present.

  没有人知道他是否喜欢这份生日礼物。

  ⑵只用whether不用if的情况

  ①引导介词后的宾语从句时。

  ◇It depends on whether it will snow tomorrow.

  这取决于明天是否会下雪。

  ②与不等式连用时

  ③与or not连用时

  ◇I want to know whether it's good news or not.

  ④宾语从句前置，置于句首

  ◇Whether they can finish the work on time is still a problem.

  他们是否能准时完成这项工作还是个问题。

  2、连接代词引导的宾语从句

  宾语从句可由连接代词what,who,whom,whose,which等引导，它们可以在宾语从句中作主语、宾语、表语和定语等，因此不能省略。

  ◇She asked me whose handwriting was the best in the class.

  ◇I will take whatever she gives me.

  3、连接副词引导的宾语从句

  宾语从句可由连接副词when,where,how,why等引导，它们在宾语从句中作状语，不可以省略。

  ◇Do you know when the ancient games began?

  考点 neither是否定副词，位于句首时，句子用部分倒装

  Neither did I know that my cigarette smoke could affect the health of nonsmokers.

  考点 本句型确定的是only when引导的时间状语从句

  It is only when the disease has progressed to NCP that a person begins to look sick.

  只有当这种病毒发展成新型冠状病毒肺炎时，人才会显出病态来。

  注意：虽然only置前，但when引导的时间状语从句，不用倒装句，需要用陈述句。
